Here are a few backdrops I’ve illustrated! They sat inside various museum cases up in Te Ahu, Kaitaia.  The idea was that they provided a context for the artifacts in front. Check out my main website for a look at the larger pieces I contributed. www.andyshaw.co.nz

A little sketch I did in exchange for a few photos by a local surf photographer, Dominika Zielinska. You should really check out her Flickr photostream aptly called “Chronicles of Lyall” …some great droolworthy pics .

Here’s an image I created recently for the blog “Water & Hops & Malt & Yeast” or WHMY for short. If you’re into craft beer you’ll really dig this blog. Check it out! Read the article here.

There’s a few extra images there to explain the process for creating this Illustration.

Here’s a wee film noir style poster, a Christmas present for my wife. It stars our daughter, Ruby, who we sometimes call ‘Inspector Digit’ due to the way she explores everything with her index finger. Its a bit like watching one of those clumsy mechanical arms on a deep sea submersible poking a new type of deep sea seaweed. New toys, her drink bottle, your nose, they all get the same treatment.
Fatius Totoro refers to our obese cat, Totoro. I quite like this new title of hers, she sounds like a primadonna Italian film director.
